DILLmatic (Nas x J Dilla Mixtape)
I stumbled upon this mixtape randomly tonight and had to give it a listen since it has my all time favorite producer and rapper on the same album. This came out on Feb 5th from aspiring producer Keith Romes. Dilla and Nas unfortunately never worked together, but this proves they would have been a force to be reckoned with. How To Make It In America (Pilot/Episode 1)
How To Make It In America is the upcoming HBO series, produced by Mark Wahlberg of Entourage, and written by first-time writer Ian Edelman, in a collaboration with Emmy nominee Rob Weiss. The show is centered around two Brooklyn men, trying to "achieve the American Dream", and features Kid Cudi as their "well connected friend". I'm interested to see what happens with this, considering Entourage's appeal and success. The show premieres on February 14th.

Jaylib vs. J Rocc
J. Rocc was the third member of Jaylib, the DJ for both Madlib and Dilla, on the turntables for each of the shows the guys did together.
When Jaylib's album Champion Sound was wrapped up, J.Rocc put together a mixtape of Dilla, Madlib and Jaylib songs, as well as some of their sources, essentially telling the story of this group. That mixtape is on this 45, which was released as the bonus 45 with Champion Sound.
The photos were taken by B+ of Madlib in his studio in L.A. and Dilla in his in Detroit. The two hadn't yet taken photos together. B+ also came up with the concept for this packaging: a cutout photo sleeve with a second sleeve inside, juxtaposing the photos of Madlib and Dilla.
